A Heart Of Leather Is Beating In The “Buckeye State.”

The producers of Buckeye State LeatherSir/boy are pleased to announce Mr. Monte as Buckeye State LeatherSir 2009 and boy Quill as the Buckeye State leatherboy 2009.

Contrary to the protestations of one vocal leatherman, no applications for either Sir or boy were received. Allegations were made about the receipt of four applications, three men being named; the three men named were followed-up in great detail with to make sure no miscommunication had taken place. All three men directly denied requesting and submitting contest applications.

In order to keep tradition alive, and with the approval of ILSb and GLLA, these two respectable men were appointed to their titles. The announcement of the two new titleholders was met to welcoming applause on the eXile’s stage.
The Buckeye Leather weekend was held in conjunction with the Trident bar night on Friday, June 12th and the Saturday, June 13th was the grand opening of the newly renovated, longtime leather bar, eXile.
On Saturday night, over 240 people including leatherfolk from at least 6 states, a Brazilian porn star, a group of men celebrating June birthdays, a bachelorette party, the amazing bar staff, the live DJ, and tons of kinky explorers enjoying the many demos and bootblacking services by Trooper, were basking in the glow of eXile’s red lights and having a fantastic time. We promised unrivaled decadence and unrivaled decadence it was!

Sir Julian gave a distinguished and touching step-down speech and we thank him for his continued service and sharing a remarkable year with us and the local community.

Thank you to Rob Wagner, Freddie Marshall, the eXile staff, my brothers in Trident Columbus, my co-producer Brian “Captain” McCoy, and to everyone who contributed their positive energy to the Buckeye State Leather weekend celebration.

We look forward to Great Lakes Leather Alliance in August, where we’ll be introducing our new titleholders to the larger community.
